History and Organization
The Sueños Festival was established in 2022 by the organizers of Baja Beach Fest, in partnership with C3 Presents (the team behind Lollapalooza) and local Chicago company Reventon. The festival’s core mission is to create a top-tier platform for world-class Latin artists and unite the community through music, culture, and education.
The inaugural festival took place in Chicago’s Grant Park and drew an impressive crowd of 80,000 attendees. As part of its community commitment, the organizers also collaborated with Kennedy-King College to host a career fair focused on the music industry, a vital step in fostering local talent and professional opportunities.
Program and Artists
The first festival in 2022 spanned two days, with headlining performances by J Balvin, Ozuna, and Wisin y Yandel. The lineup also featured Myke Towers, El Alfa, Tokischa, Sech, Natanael Cano, Fuerza Regida, Jhay Cortez, Blessd, Jowell & Randy, DJ Miriam, and DJ Luian.
In 2023, Sueños once again wowed festival-goers with a powerful roster that included Wisin y Yandel, Feid, Grupo Firme, Nicky Jam, along with Arcangel, Chencho Corleone, Ivy Queen, PaoPao, Yovngchimi, and Gera MX.
The 2024 festival was scheduled for May 25-26 in Grant Park. However, on May 26, attendees had to be evacuated due to severe weather, posing a significant challenge for both organizers and guests.
The festival features three distinct stages: the Main Stage; La Fuente Stage, which showcases Latin electronic music; and La Plaza Stage, which highlights local Latin culture and emerging artists. The 2025 lineup included global superstars like Shakira, Peso Pluma, Don Omar, and Grupo Frontera. Other performers included a wide array of artists, DJs, and Latin scene representatives, spanning styles from reggaeton to Latin electronic. Organizers also partner with local cultural centers, such as supporting the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center, and fostering youth media initiatives and art projects within Chicago’s Latin community.

Beyond the financial boost, the event dedicated $50,000 to scholarships through the Pilsen Neighbors Community Council, specifically supporting the Fiesta Del Sol program.
